A reporter learned from China Railway Construction Co., Ltd. that on the 13th, the Tongchuan Tunnel of the Xisheng High-speed Railway, which was constructed by Xicheng Passenger Special Co., Ltd., was successfully completed by the Shaanxi Company of Xicheng Passenger Special Co., Ltd., the survey and design of the Iron Institute, and the construction of China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, marking the completion of all tunnels of the Xisheng High-speed Railway.
According to the project manager of China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, there are 47 tunnels on the entire line of the West Extension High-speed Railway, about 169.3 kilometers, 66 bridges, about 105.5 kilometers, and the bridge-tunnel ratio reaches 92%. Tongchuan Tunnel is a single-hole double-line tunnel with a total length of 11,098 meters and a maximum burial depth of about 165 meters. The geological structure of the tunnel is complex and the construction is difficult, which is a key and difficult project on the entire line.
The total length of the West Extension High-speed Railway Line is about 299 kilometers and has a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is an important part of my country's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network package (silver) sea channel. After the project is completed, the operating time from Xi'an to Yan'an will be shortened from the current 2.5 hours to about 1 hour.
