How do you feel as a pure Harbin native and a flag bearer in the Asian Winter Games?

Han Cong: First of all, as a hometown person, as the flag bearer, this time is particularly glorious, which is different from my experience as an athlete. When I was an athlete, I was more focused on the spotlight and could feel the sense of mission brought to me by the stadium. However, as a flag bearer, I felt that it was solemn and sacred. What I showed was not my personal appearance, but the entire Harbin and the image of the country. So at that time I had this sense of mission and honor, and I was very nervous when I left.

What does music mean to the city of Harbin?

Miao Di, Director of Harbin Music Museum: The city of Harbin is composed of two cultures: East and West. In the past, people living here were northern Chinese nations, who were good at singing and dancing, so the atmosphere of traditional music was particularly strong. After Western culture entered this city, they took root and sprouted here and merged with our national culture, which shows that Chinese civilization is extremely inclusive. As a city, music has become a part of life in this city. The lives of ordinary people are also full of expressions of this artistic form. In summer, there are musical instruments and singing everywhere. Since the founding of New China, Harbin has a very strong mass music culture atmosphere, and there are many historical and important figures, events and footprints of music culture on Central Street.

This year is Liu Mengting's first Asian Winter Conference and also served as the flag bearer. What does this mean to her?

In fact, there will be pressure, but it is more about the pressure brought to you by the game. You still feel that you can just play steadily and do your best step by step.

How do you view the new generation who is making their mark at the Asian Winter Games like Liu Mengting?

Bai Yansong: I think there are two angles, because first of all, from the perspective of "snow", we were weak in the past, so-called "strong ice and weak snow". This requires overtaking on the curve and a new generation needs to grow forward. For example, Liu Mengting practiced gymnastics before she was 10 years old, but later crossed the border and entered such a field and achieved great results. I hope that in the future, this group of young people will step by step and reach a higher level.

Another angle is that the male and female flag bearers of this Asian Winter Games are so amazing. They won 5 gold medals in total - Ning Zhongyan took away three, and Liu Mengting took away two. During the last Asian Winter Games, the flag bearer Wu Dajing also won the gold medal. I think we may have some expectations for the flag bearer in the future, that is, the flag bearer first performed well in the past.
