CCTV News (News Network): The latest data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement shows that the total social logistics volume in the country in 2024, that is, the total value of physical logistics in the economic operation, was 360.6 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.8% year-on-year, and the overall operation of the whole year continued to have a steady and progressive development trend.
While the total demand scale expands, the demand structure is also being improved simultaneously, and the development trend of green and digitalization is obvious. The industries related to new quality productivity are steadily growing, and the output of high-end products such as intelligent manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing has maintained rapid growth, becoming an important highlight of the high-quality development of industrial product logistics.
In addition, initial results have been achieved in reducing logistics costs in the whole society. The ratio of total social logistics expenses to GDP in 2024 was 14.1%, down 0.3 percentage points from 2023, that is, the logistics expenses required to achieve a unit of GDP have decreased.
