CCTV News: On February 10, the National Development and Reform Commission stated that during the Spring Festival, the national consumer goods trade-in activities were booming, with sales of automobiles, home appliances, and mobile phones exceeding 31 billion yuan. Among them, digital products such as mobile phones have become the "New Year's goods" this year's Spring Festival, becoming an important engine to drive consumption growth and promote industrial upgrading, and injecting strong momentum into innovation in the consumer market.

The National Development and Reform Commission stated that this year's Spring Festival is driven by the increased efforts of the "two new" to expand, consumers are enthusiastic about participating in renewal. Data shows that during the Spring Festival, the sales volume of digital products such as automobiles, home appliances, and mobile phones in exchange for new products reached 8.6 million units (sets), with sales of approximately RMB 6.6 billion, RMB 10.5 billion and RMB 14.1 billion respectively, totaling more than RMB 31 billion.

Consumption of digital products such as mobile phones leads the formation of a "New Year's goods trend". During the Spring Festival, the sales volume of mobile phones and other digital products nationwide exceeded 4.5 million units, accounting for 45% of the total sales of consumer goods for old-for-new. Data from the e-commerce platform shows that among digital products such as home appliances and mobile phones that participated in the exchange-income subsidy during the Spring Festival, mobile phone sales accounted for nearly 70%. From 0:00 on January 20 to 24:00 on February 8, 20.092 million consumers applied for new subsidies for purchase of 25.414 million mobile phones and other digital products.

The hot sales of the Spring Festival have set a good start for this year's vigorous boost to consumption. The National Development and Reform Commission stated that before the Spring Festival, the central government has issued the first batch of 81 billion yuan of ultra-long-term special treasury bond funds to support local governments to speed up the launch of old-for-new work in various fields, and the efforts to expand the implementation of the "two new" policies will be carried out throughout the year, and the consumption potential will be further released, forming a virtuous cycle of production, income, consumption. While the policy of ex-new consumer goods to promote the upgrading of the industrial chain and the improvement of terminal product quality, it will also promote the main consumer engine to continue to release strong momentum.
