The 2025 Hong Kong Marathon was held on the 9th. In the half marathon, the two contestants who arrived at the finish line were cancelled because they "wear a number cloth that does not belong to them."

This year's Hong Kong Marathon has 74,000 people signed up, with a variety of events including full marathon, half marathon, 10 kilometers, etc. Participants set off one after another before 6 o'clock in the morning and finally arrived at the finish line in Victoria Park. In the men's half marathon competition, He Yingbing and Sun Xiaoyang took the lead in crossing the finish line and won the championship and runner-up respectively. However, in the subsequent identity verification process, the organizing committee found that the two had changed their respective numbers in the game, so their match results were cancelled.

In addition, in the men's 10-kilometer competition, Xu Guoying, the second-placed player, wore another contestant Lan Jiehuai's number cloth, and his results were cancelled; Lan Jiehuai ranked sixth in the same competition.

Wu Yuhao, director of the Hong Kong Track and Field Association of China, revealed at a post-match press conference that these athletes belong to the same brokerage team, and one broker is responsible for the coordination. After the conference gave the broker a number, it will be distributed by him. As for whether to impose further punishment for several people, Wu Yuhao said that the organizing committee needs to obtain more information and communicate with relevant personnel before handling it.

The organizing committee also revealed that the participation rate of the registered contestants this year exceeded 90%. The men's All-Malaysia championship was won by Kenyan player Kipkenboy, with a time of 2 hours, 11 minutes and 13 seconds. The Women's All-Malaysian Championship was won by Belarusian player Mazuronak, with a time of 2 hours, 27 minutes and 00 seconds.
