CCTV News (News Network): Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on February 9 showed that in January this year, the year-on-year increase of the national consumer price index CPI expanded from 0.1% last month to 0.5%, and from the same month to an increase of 0.7%. The core CPI, which deducts food and energy prices, rebounded for the fourth consecutive month.

The demand for travel and entertainment consumption increased significantly during the Spring Festival, driving the increase in consumer prices across the country. The prices of air tickets, tourism, movies and performances increased month-on-month, driving service prices to rise by 0.9% month-on-month, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the previous month. Among food prices, the Spring Festival factors and the impact of the drop in temperatures, the prices of fresh vegetables, fresh fruits and aquatic products rose month-on-month respectively.

In January, due to factors such as the Spring Festival holiday, industrial production was in the off-season, and the national industrial producer price index PPI decreased by 2.3% year-on-year.
