Warm the lights of thousands of homes, and the "combination punch" of energy supply protects people's livelihood
2025-04-30 source:People's Daily

At present, the heating season is in northern my country. Affected by strong cold air, the Central Meteorological Observatory announced on the 8th that it is expected that in the next 24 hours, there will be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius cooling in some areas such as northeastern Inner Mongolia, northern and western Heilongjiang, and in some areas such as southwestern and northeastern Heilongjiang can cool to 8 to 10 degrees Celsius.

The arrival of cold currents means that the demand for energy consumption has further increased. At present, the coal, electricity, and oil and gas industries are working at full capacity to increase production, and new energy sources such as wind power and photovoltaic provide green support. Multiple parties have launched a "combination punch" to ensure energy supply, warming up the lights of thousands of homes.

——Ensure the reliability of power grid operation and power supply. "The line has risen to 630 an hour..." On February 6, on the mountain at an altitude of more than 2,700 meters in Longjie Town, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, the 110 kV Longzhong line successfully ascended, and the "ice coat" on the line gradually fell off. This is one of the first batch of transmission lines to carry out melting ice since the New Year of the State Grid Guizhou Power Grid.

"Before the arrival of this cold wave, the company has carried out pre-test and inspection and defect removal work on 38 sets of fixed ice melting devices, 32 sets of mobile ice melting devices and 43 sets of AC ice melting transformers across the province to ensure that the ice melting equipment is available and available at any time during ice coating." said Zhang Jin, senior manager of the Emergency and Power Supply Management Department of the Safety Supervision Department of Guizhou Power Grid Company.

It is particularly important to ensure warmth and supply, and it is particularly important to accelerate the construction of power grid projects. In 2024, 153 key projects of the State Grid's summer and 85 key projects of winter were completed as scheduled, improving the power supply capacity of 76 million kilowatts; 12 projects including the expansion of Chaila DC supporting cameras, Lhasa's 500 kV transmission and transformation were constructed, and the power supply capacity was improved by 350,000 kV; Shanxi's "West-to-East Power Transmission" channel adjustment, 500 kV Bahrain-Neman-Fuxin Power Transmission Project and other power grid strengthening projects were put into production on schedule, and the cross-provincial transmission capacity was increased by 17.57 million kilowatts, further improving the resource mutual assistance capacity and power supply reliability of large power grids.

——Give full play to the role of coal as a "ballast stone". In the middle of winter, the Shendong Coal Shangwan Coal Mine, located in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, the huge coal miner moved slowly in the roar, the drum rotated at high speed, and the sharp teeth cut into the coal seam. The "black gold" surged out like a tide and was continuously transported to the ground.

"We can cut 19 to 20 dollars of coal a total of 45,000 tons of coal every day. These coals will be carried by steel trains, crossing mountains, rivers, lakes and seas, and warming thousands of families." Miao Yuchun, captain of the second team of Shangwan Coal Mine Comprehensive Mining, said.

Since the beginning of winter, my country's main coal-producing areas have continued to release high-quality coal production capacity to ensure the supply of electricity and coal. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in 2024, the output of industrial raw coal above designated size was 4.76 billion tons, a record high, an increase of 1.3% over the previous year.

Heat and supply are inseparable from transportation capacity. As an important hub port for the transportation of western coal in the east and northern coal in the south, Huanghua Port completed 15.39 million tons of coal unloading and 15.3 million tons of coal discharge in January. During the Spring Festival holiday, the two coal transportation systems of the Inner Mongolia Company Inner Mongolia Company's South Open Pit Coal Mine operated efficiently, maintaining an average of 60,000 tons of electric coal per day to cities such as Changchun, Shenyang, Dalian, and Tongliao.

——Clean energy shows its energy. Six large hydropower stations, Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Sanxia and Gezhouba, are arranged from top to bottom along the main stream of the Yangtze River, spanning more than 1,800 kilometers, forming the world's largest clean energy corridor.

From January 28 to February 4, the world's largest clean energy corridor had a cumulative power generation of about 4 billion kWh, which could meet the daily electricity consumption needs of about 1.37 billion people, and the average daily power generation was about 500 million kWh.

During the Spring Festival, the LNG ship "Elena" from Russia was berthed at the Tianjin LNG terminal with 65,000 tons of cargo to ensure stable energy supply in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region; the daily gas production of China Petroleum Changqing Oilfield remained at a high level of 155 million cubic meters; more than 1,800 gas wells in Qinghai Oilfield were produced at full capacity; the Hutubi Gas Storage Storage in Xinjiang Oilfield had a total of 100 million cubic meters of gas production during the Spring Festival.

At the same time, large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases with the focus on "Shagohuang" inject power into energy supply. Data from the National Energy Administration shows that as of the end of 2024, the first batch of bases were built, accounting for about 95%, and 90.79 million kilowatts were put into production.
