Regarding the incident of former Japanese Self-Defense Forces member Kodai Murata forcing his way into the Chinese Embassy in Japan, the Tokyo District Court held its first trial on the 1st local time. The defendant Kodai Murata denied part of the prosecution content.Murata pleaded guilty to building invasions and violating the Guns and Knives Act, but denied threatening embassy staff with coercion.

On March 24 this year, Kodai Murata climbed over the wall with a knife and forced his way into the Chinese Embassy in Japan. He threatened to kill Chinese diplomats and was subsequently arrested by the police.Japanese prosecutors charged him with invading buildings and threatening embassy staff.

The Chinese Embassy in Japan lodged solemn representations and expressed strong protest over the embassy invasion incident, demanding that Japan make a responsible explanation. However, Japan only expressed "regret" and did not apologize.

On August 31, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated at a regular press conference that active Japanese Self-Defense Force officers broke into the Chinese Embassy with knives and issued violent threats to China. This vicious incident is unprecedented and seriously violates the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. It seriously threatens the personal safety of Chinese diplomats and the safety of diplomatic facilities. It also exposes many deep-seated problems such as the rampant right-wing forces in Japan and the lack of discipline among Self-Defense Force personnel.China has noted that Japan has launched public prosecutions against those involved in the case, and urges Japan to take responsibility, severely punish the perpetrators, and conduct thorough investigations and rectifications. The international community is also waiting to see this.(Headquarters reporter Liu Yaohong and reporter Li Qianwen)
