The Chinese Embassy in South Korea has issued a statement regarding the Chinese curatorial team’s announcement to withdraw from the exhibition and its strong protest due to the incorrect Taiwan-related practices of the Gwangju Biennale in South Korea.Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said that the communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea clearly stated that the government of the Republic of Korea recognizes the government of the People's Republic of China as the only legitimate government of China and respects China's position that there is only one China and Taiwan is part of China.Since the beginning of this year, South Korea has repeatedly reiterated that its one-China stance remains unchanged.
