Xu Liang, Director of the Housing Security Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, said that in the next step, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will guide various localities to optimize public rental housing policies, formulate and improve the application access conditions for households with unsettled permanent residents, and clarify requirements for employment and length of residence, as well as housing and income difficulty standards. Eligible households with permanent residents who have not settled down will be included in the public rental housing waiting list in a timely manner. Introduce professional institutions to operate and manage public rental housing, improve public infrastructure, and enhance service capabilities, so that people can live more securely and comfortably, and better integrate into urban life.
