I am very pleased to be invited by President Sisi to pay a state visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt.I visited Egypt 10 years ago and left many wonderful memories. Today, I set foot on this land with profound civilization again, and I feel very warm.On behalf of the Chinese government and people, I would like to extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to the friendly Egyptian government and Egyptian people.

China and Egypt are both countries with ancient civilizations, and their traditional friendship has lasted for thousands of years and has become stronger with time.In 1956, Egypt took the lead among Arab and African countries in establishing diplomatic relations with New China.Over the past 70 years, no matter how the international and regional situation changes, the two countries have always maintained equality and mutual trust, friendship and mutual learning, solidarity and win-win cooperation.In recent years, President Sisi and I have led the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership to achieve leapfrog development.The two countries have solid political mutual trust, fruitful mutually beneficial cooperation, and close and powerful multilateral cooperation, becoming a model for developing countries to live in harmony, unite and cooperate.At present, the international and regional situations are intertwined with events, and various challenges are emerging one after another.China and Egypt are both important members of the Global South and should practice true multilateralism, work together to safeguard international fairness and justice, safeguard the common interests of developing countries, and make new contributions to promoting world peace, stability, development and prosperity.

During this visit, I will have an in-depth exchange of views with President Sisi on China-Egypt relations, all-round cooperation, and international and regional issues of common concern, and jointly draw up a blueprint for the development of China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership.I believe that with the joint efforts of both parties, the visit will achieve fruitful results and write a new chapter in the history of China-Egypt friendship.
