"Made in China" is constantly heading to the Southeast Asian market on the China-Laos Railway.With the normal operation of the JSQ-type special vehicle transportation mode and the continuous upgrading of the logistics service system, the China-Laos Railway is accelerating to become an important logistics channel for domestic new energy vehicles to explore the Southeast Asian market.

Since the beginning of this year, the international transport of commodities and automobiles on the China-Laos railway has shown explosive growth.As of August 28, the China-Laos Railway has shipped a total of 347 3,052 commercial vehicles, an increase of nearly 6 times compared with 51 458 vehicles in the same period in 2025.Among them, Wangjiaying West Railway Station’s highest single-day shipment volume reached 19 and 171 vehicles on July 16, setting a record since the opening of the China-Laos railway commercial vehicle international transport business.The monthly shipment volume started from 53 vehicles at the beginning of the year and has reached a maximum of 544 vehicles, an increase of about 10 times. The international intermodal transport business of China-Laos railway commercial vehicles is entering a rapid growth path.

As an important freight hub at the starting point of China-Laos Railway, China Railway Special Cargo Wangjiaying West Station Commodity Vehicle Logistics Base covers an area of 265 acres and has a storage area of 150,000 square meters. It is an important cross-border transportation hub for commercial vehicles in the southwest region.Li Zongzhi, a salesperson at China Railway Special Cargo Logistics Co., Ltd., introduced that the China-Laos railway commodity automobile international transport uses JSQ-type concave-bottom double-decker special car transport trains. “Each carriage can carry 8 to 12 cars, and the transport capacity is equivalent to 4 to 5 times that of ordinary containers. It can greatly improve the loading and unloading efficiency and maximize the safety of vehicle transportation.””
