CCTV News:October 3rd marks the 13th anniversary of jointly building the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road".The construction of this Maritime Silk Road has effectively promoted my country's economic and trade cooperation with countries in Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and other regions to continuously reach new heights.

Since this year, my country has opened a number of new direct foreign trade routes to Latin America, Southeast Asia and other places, and international container liner routes have covered more than 100 countries and regions around the world.

A few days ago, Fujian's first direct weekly route to the east coast of South America was officially opened, adding a new channel for maritime connectivity between my country and the countries jointly building the "Belt and Road".This route can directly reach the five major ports on the east coast of Brazil, and through seamless dedicated line extension, it can further reach the ports of Argentina, Uruguay and other countries co-building the "Belt and Road", providing strong support for foreign trade companies to consolidate traditional markets and expand emerging markets such as South America.

Behind each new route is the continued denseness of the maritime interconnection network.Currently, on the basis of exploring the construction of "Silk Road Maritime" in Fujian and other places, my country is actively promoting the integrated development of "Silk Road Maritime" port, shipping and trade, and improving the efficiency of port connectivity along the route.

At the same time, focusing on the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" to jointly build the country's people's livelihood needs, my country has implemented a large number of "small but beautiful" projects with small investment, benefiting people's livelihood, and good results.

The "Mazu" meteorological intelligent early warning system has trained more than 1,000 professionals in more than 100 countries and has been implemented in 7 countries, and will expand to 30 countries in the future.

The "Science and Technology Yard" helped quadruple the corn yield in the relevant areas by improving planting techniques and enhancing soil fertility.

The latest data shows that from January to August this year, the foreign trade throughput of my country's 11 international hub seaports was close to 2.2 billion tons, accounting for more than 50% of the total throughput. International container liner routes reach more than 100 countries and regions around the world.
