The reporter learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Certification and Accreditation Administration) officially released a new version of the "Organic Product Certification Catalog."As an important part of my country's organic product certification system, the "Catalogue" is an important basis for certification agencies to accept applications for organic product certification.

The "Catalogue" adheres to the principles of strict risk control, scientific rigor, and service development, focusing on four parts to optimize organic product certification categories.The first is to clean up inefficient categories.Combining certification data and risk assessments in recent years, 312 products that are difficult to meet the requirements of organic production and processing standards and have low market demand have been deleted, involving vegetables, Chinese herbal medicines, aquatic products and other product fields.The second is to optimize product category descriptions.With reference to relevant national standards, industry standards and administrative licensing classifications, the classification descriptions of feed crops, aquatic products, deeply processed foods, textiles and other products have been optimized.The third is to standardize product names and classifications.The standardized scientific name of the product is used uniformly, and the common name is included in the remarks.For multi-purpose products, classify them according to their core uses to avoid repeated listings.For products that include multiple categories, the specific coverage of the product is further clarified.The fourth is to add new compliant products.After expert technical evaluation, 25 new products have been added, covering planting, wild collection, processing and other fields, and accurately adapting to organic production, market consumption and trade needs.

The overall framework of the "Catalogue" remains stable, covering the entire industrial chain from primary agricultural products to deeply processed products, with a total of 1,087 products in 45 categories and 135 subcategories, including 747 production products and 340 processing products.
